Central YMCA appoints new CEO, Arvinda Gohil

We are delighted to announce that Arvinda Gohil, former CEO of charity Community Links, will join Central YMCA on 19th September 2019 as our new Chief Executive Officer.

Arvinda brings extensive senior leadership experience from her last role and previous CEO roles at homeless charity, Emmaus UK and the National Housing Federation.

Arvinda is very experienced in community support and housing and successfully combines her commitment and passion with enterprising support services for people from disadvantaged backgrounds. She was recently awarded an OBE for her services.

As former CEO of the Social Housing Foundation in South Africa, Arvinda also brings international experience to the role.

Arvinda will succeed Rosi Prescott who has been with the Charity for 20 years including 16 years as its CEO. Rosi leaves behind a significant campaigning legacy within the global YMCA movement and in the wider ‘thought-leadership’ field for Arvinda to carry forward.
