Central YMCA training centres remain open.
From Monday 23rd March 2020 like other schools and colleges, we have continued to provide face-to-face, and one-on-one learning with our vulnerable learners and learners of key workers.
Learners attending centres will do so on reduced hours and staffing to allow for social distancing and minimising any risks.
For all other learners, plans have been developed to deliver training via online sessions. All staff who can work remotely, have been fully equipped to do so. All learners (where applicable) have been contacted.
Applications and Referrals
We are still taking applications for Study Programmes and Traineeships starting in August 2020. If you are thinking about what your next steps look like after school - drop us a message.
External Learner Referrals
We are still open to receive external referrals. Arrangements for interviews and eligibility checks will take place remotely via telephone, facetime or videocall.
Learners that are eligible will be invited to join our online enrolment platform to complete our online initial assessments and diagnostics for English and Maths.
Following a successful interview and assessment, learners will be inducted onto programme which will then lead onto 1-1 online support and guidance before joining their individual chosen pathway online sessions.
