Apprenticeships for employers

Make the most of apprenticeships

YMCA Training has been training apprentices for over 40 years. We’re committed to supporting people to gain skills and improve their career prospects. With our partners, we are training a large number of apprentices in a variety of positions across the UK.

In your sector?

We work across a number of sectors, bringing a wide range of experience to help your business grow.

How apprenticeships work

Apprentices have a contract and are supported to gain relevant qualifications through on-the-job learning, workplace support and tutoring. Apprentices earn a wage and work alongside experienced staff to gain job-specific skills.

Why offer an apprenticeship?

Apprenticeships help you to grow your own talent, reduce staff turnover and give your business the skills it needs to succeed.

Levy and funding

The apprenticeship levy is a pot of money some companies pay into, but which all businesses have access to spend on the training costs of apprenticeships.

As the economy recovers from the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, apprenticeships will be more important than ever in helping businesses to recruit the right people, and develop the skills they need to respond to conditions and grow – both now and in the long-term.

All the support you need

We have a dedicated Apprenticeship Team to help you navigate the world of apprenticeships, from skills gap analysis to recruitment through to monitoring apprentice progression, we’re here to support you.
