Early Years Practioner Level 2 Apprenticeship

Foxglove Nurseries are mixed age (2 to 4 years) nurseries with approximately 30 children per session. We have an emphasis on learning through play, child led investigations and encourage lots of outside exploration.

Summary

Key Responsibilities: · Developing strong bonds with the children and their families. · Completing individual observations, assessments and planning for our children, in line with the EYFS. · Taking part in parent’s meetings and creating strong parent partnerships to support the children and families · Working as part of the team to discuss the needs of all children, identify individual needs and promote best practice. · Attending staff meetings and training for personal and professional development. · Being ready, willing and positive in taking part in all areas of learning and development to ensure the children are given the best possible start in their Early Years.

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

GCSE Maths and English grade 4 or equivalent desired

 

Future prospects

Foxglove encourages CPD at all levels. We will support you through Level 2 Early Years Practitioner and beyond. We welcome an interest in SEND, Forest Schools and other areas of good Early Years practice.

Things to consider

Foxglove is committed to Safeguarding. The position will be dependent on an acceptable DBS check and two references.
