Early Years Apprenticeship

We are seeking a motivated apprentice who has the desire to help children develop and grow. You will join this lovely nursery as an Early Years Apprentice, where you will be part of a team that prides itself on providing high-quality care for children.

Summary

During your Apprenticeship you will:

  • Supervision of children at all times
  • To help in maintaining a clean environment at all times; Cleaning surfaces, floors and utensils used by the children.
  • Keeping children safe while walking
  • Interacting with children
  • Encourage healthy eating and assist during meal times
  • Organising activities
  • Take and collect children from school
  • Reading and singing rhymes to the children and good partnership with parents
  • To support in providing appropriate learning experiences and planning age appropriate activities for the children
  • To assist in toilet training and nappy change
  • Comply with all requirements set out by the regulatory authority ( OFSTED)
  • To adhere in policies and procedures set by the child care provider

 

 

 

 

 

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

GCSE or equivalent Maths and English grade 4 and above

Future prospects

Early Years Level 2 Apprenticeship Functional Skills if required

Things to consider

DBS & FIRST AID TRAINING essential but can be obtained while on the job

Training to be provided

Full Level 2 or 3 Early Years Apprenticeship.
