In 2014, Central YMCA pledged to complete 2,014 apprenticeships. Following the successful achievement of our pledge over the past 12 months, we’re now launching our new manifesto outlining what we believe the next government should do to help create, provide and improve pathways into employment for young people.
Through working in partnership with YMCA Training, we’re offering our thoughts and guidance on how UK society can best support and nurture our young talent during their defining post-school years.
Pathways into employment outlines our eight key recommendations for improving youth employment in the UK. The key focus of our manifesto focuses on how YMCA training and the government can effectively work together to ensure young people have the best possible opportunity to get into employment after their school years.
This manifesto was launched on Monday 2 March at the House of Commons, with speaker’s including YMCA Training Managing Director, Andree Deane-Barron, and Rosi Prescott, CEO to Central YMCA.
