UK’s leading health and fitness awarding body caps 10th anniversary year with 5% growth
Central YMCA Qualifications (CYQ), the UK’s leading health and fitness awarding body, issued nearly 39000 certificates to successful candidates during the past financial year - a 5% increase, despite increasingly tough market conditions.
The continued rise in certifications caps a successful anniversary year for CYQ who approved 55 new training centres across the UK and internationally, including centres in Italy, Ireland and, most recently, South Africa.
The past year also saw the launch of new qualifications in Sports Massage, Leisure Management and an overhauled suite of NVQ resources.
Lori Randall, Joint Acting Executive Director explains, “This year we have put a firm focus on providing the best possible service to our customers; keeping all our fees (including certification) as competitive as possible, introducing Customer Support Advisors for each of our centres and providing extra training days to support delivery and assessment. |

Furthermore we have begun implementing our international business strategy with very encouraging results, getting underway with our recent UKTI Passport to Export sponsored trade mission to South Africa.”
