Central YMCA Club is one of the UK’s leading health and fitness facilities, located in the heart of London’s West End and we currently have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, passionate and high-performing Fitness Duty Manager to join our dedicated and experienced Health & Fitness team.

As Fitness Duty Manager you will be responsible for coordinating the weekend running of the Fitness programme, including the gym floor and poolside operations, to ensure it meets and where possible exceeds member’s expectations, in line with the Club’s operational strategy and the charity’s vision, mission and strategic aims. You will be required to develop and deliver fitness programme activities by ensuring that the classes are run and the equipment is operating at an optimal level. You will also be responsible for managing and supporting the team to achieve shared goals and proactively developing positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

You must be a qualified fitness instructor and hold a CYQ Advanced Gym Instructor Level 2 (or equivalent), a level 2 (or equivalent) in circuit training and you will also hold the RLSS National Pool Lifeguard qualification. You will have experience of working in a gym or fitness facility and delivering high quality fitness classes. You will need to possess strong time management skills and be an excellent team-player.

YMCA Training is a national charity who aims to transform the lives of young people and adults through work related training and employment support. We believe in setting inspiring goals and working closely with individuals all over the UK to develop personal, vocation and work-related skills. YMCA Training now has a rewarding opportunity for a proactive and motivated Learner Recruitment Executive to join the expanding team based in Central London.

With responsibility for delivering the sales and recruitment strategy for YMCA’s Training’s products and services via client, customer and learner engagement, the Learner Recruitment Executive will be expected to meet targets for Apprenticeship recruitment and Employer Engagement and work to exceeding them. Responsibilities will include accurate administration of all data through the CRM, building and maintaining strong client/customer relationships and working with stakeholders to maintain best-practice and appropriate customer communication. You will also ensure that all Apprenticeship vacancies are advertised and managed and engagement and recruitment of learners to all YMCA provision is maximised in line with contract requirements on a national level.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated by achieving and exceeding sales related targets and will ideally have gained experience within a similar training/education environment. IT skills and the ability to work independently and accurately are essential. Previous experience of using a CRM is advantageous.

Central YMCA Club is one of the UK’s leading health and fitness facilities, located in the heart of London’s West End and we currently have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, passionate and high-performing Lifeguard/ Recreation Assistant to join our dedicated and experienced Health & Fitness team.

As Lifeguard/ Recreation Assistant you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe pool environment through excellent lifeguarding practices and will provide an excellent level of customer service to our members on poolside and throughout the YMCA Club. You will also be required to keep the gym cardio equipment and poolside (including sauna, steam room, pool equipment and the pool stairs) clean and fit to use for all our members. General duties such as laundry, recycling and managing deliveries will also form part of your job role.

This is a casual contract position and as such you will be contacted by the Health & Fitness manager on an as and when basis. Each shift offered will be at least 4 hours and could cover early mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.

You must be a qualified Lifeguard and hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification with evidence of sufficient CPD/ continued training and development. You will also possess excellent customer service skills, be a strong communicator and have a good team spirit.

We now have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced External Quality Assurer to support our many centres in the South of England/Southern Counties and join our UK wide EQA team.

The successful candidate will plan and manage YMCA Awards external quality assurance activity as allocated by the Lead Quality Assurance Manager, to ensure the highest standards are being delivered in line with YMCA Awards guidelines.

Based from home, you will effectively plan your time to provide effective monitoring of quality assurance systems, programme delivery and assessment processes within approved training providers through conducting evaluation and quality assurance visits, and to liaise and report to each provider and YMCA Awards on their performance. You will also play an active role in centre training days.

The ideal candidate will hold a Teaching Qualification (eg Cert Ed, PGCE, CTLLS, DTLLS), Assessing Qualification (eg D32/D33, A1/A2, L3 Award in Assessing) and an Internal Quality Assurance Qualification (eg D34, V1, L4 Award in Internally Assessing) whilst also evidencing experience gained as an IQA preferably within the health & fitness sector.
