YMCA Awards is the UK’s leading health and fitness specific awarding body. We develop health and fitness qualifications that are delivered through a range of institutions including colleges, private training providers, employers, universities, schools and prisons. There are over 350 centres delivering YMCA Awards qualifications within the UK and internationally.
We now have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced External Quality Assurer to support our many centres in the South of England/Southern Counties and join our UK wide EQA team.
The successful candidate will plan and manage YMCA Awards external quality assurance activity as allocated by the Lead Quality Assurance Manager, to ensure the highest standards are being delivered in line with YMCA Awards guidelines.
Based from home, you will effectively plan your time to provide effective monitoring of quality assurance systems, programme delivery and assessment processes within approved training providers through conducting evaluation and quality assurance visits, and to liaise and report to each provider and YMCA Awards on their performance. You will also play an active role in centre training days.
The ideal candidate will hold a Teaching Qualification (eg Cert Ed, PGCE, CTLLS, DTLLS), Assessing Qualification (eg D32/D33, A1/A2, L3 Award in Assessing) and an Internal Quality Assurance Qualification (eg D34, V1, L4 Award in Internally Assessing) whilst also evidencing experience gained as an IQA preferably within the health & fitness sector.
